Located in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Wintergreen Performing Arts, Inc. is a non-profit organization that produces a high-quality summer music festival featuring symphonic and chamber concerts, as well as other performing arts programs throughout the year. Education is a major part of our mission, reflected both in the Wintergreen Summer Music Academy and in outreach programs for those living in the surrounding area. By attracting first-rate musicians to participate as performers and educators, we strive to enrich the lives of all--residents and visitors alike--who share the unique Wintergreen experience.

The Magic of Music Ball was a resounding success! It was held on May 2nd at Veritas Vineyard and Winery in Afton, Virginia.

Our volunteers did a magnificent job, and we want to thank everyone who attended.

The 2007-08 Annual Fund

October 1st is always an important day for Wintergreen Performing Arts. It marks the start of the new fiscal year. With an approved (and balanced) budget in place, the organization begins the process of finding all of the money that will be needed to mount the upcoming season.

The budget for the 2007-08 season is approximately $800,000!

Ticket sales, while extremely important, cover a relatively small percentage of WPA's overall budget. The bulk of the funds come from individuals, corporations and foundations.

WPA could not exist without the many Individuals who contribute to WPA's Annual Fund. The first and most important phase of WPA's Annual Fund drive takes place from October through December each year.

WPA is on the move, and we need your support. Please consider making a gift to Wintergreen Performing Arts. As a charitable organization, contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Wintergreen Performing Arts presents the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival and Academy each summer. The 2008 Festival will take place from July 7-August 3 in Wintergreen, Virginia on the crest of the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains. In addition, WPA has programming throughout the year.
